Karunya Charitable Trust is a non-governmental organization fully owned and managed by P. L. Varghese, Padathu Valiyaveedu, Pathirappally P.O., Alappuzha. Established with a mission to serve humanity, we provide dedicated shelter and care for elderly and psychiatric individuals — both male and female — who are in need of support and compassion. At Karunya, we believe in humanity as our only religion. Our services are open to all, regardless of religion, caste, or background. We are a purely charity-focused, non-profit organization, committed to uplifting lives through care, compassion, and community support.
- Shelter for the Elderly & Psychiatric Individuals We currently care for 32 inmates, offering them a secure, hygienic, and peaceful living environment.
- Medical & Ayurvedic Support Regular medical check-ups, medical camps, and Ayurveda camps are key features of our holistic care approach.
- Nutritious Food & Healthy Lifestyle Inmates receive healthy, home-cooked, and balanced meals that support their overall well-being.
